-a 60 year old survivor and player grade D-18 with fantastic sound
-Sitka spruce top with repaired crack at lower edge of pick guard
-replaced rosewood bridge with bone saddle
-brace re-glued under bass bridge wing - good repair
-there are 3 small spruce plugs behind the bridge - my theory for this was that bridge doctor may have been installed before the brace was repaired and moved around to 3 locations
-the bridge plate has been replaced with a slightly larger rosewood one - the good news is there is no bridge doctor, the braces are all tight and in good shape and the top is not distorted in any way
-late in 1966 Martin started using black pick guards - this guitar retains its original tortoise guard
-mahogany back and sides
-2 repaired back cracks and several repaired side cracks
-mahogany neck with rosewood fingerboard - frets have been replaced and are in good shape
-1 11/16" bone nut
-original Grover tuners
-there a chunk of mahogany missing at the top rear of the headstock which I opted to leave it alone as it doesn't affect anything
-the neck has never been re-set and the bridge is thinner than a stock bridge, reducing it's mass and allowing the top to vibrate more
-the set up is excellent with action set to 7/64" at the 12th fret and the sound of the guitar is killer - it's a great sounding old D-18
-70's Martin blue plastic case
